A jet suction dredger is an advanced and environmentally-friendly dredging equipment that utilizes high-pressure water jets to break down sediment and rocks in waterways. The loosened material is then sucked up by a suction pipe and transported to a designated storage area. This type of dredger is highly efficient, versatile, and is often preferred over other types that use mechanical cutting heads or buckets.
Our jet suction dredgers are specially designed to work in the shallow waters of rivers, lakes, channels, docks, and other similar environments. They are ideal for cleaning reservoirs, sand stocks, docks, piers, and harbors, especially when the sand layer is soft.
The jet suction dredger works by using a high-pressure water jet to break down the sand layer. Then, the sand pump takes over and removes the solids, which are then discharged to a designated area on land. The dredger can be customized to meet specific needs regarding dredging depth, working capacity, and discharge distance.
The dredger is powered by a main diesel engine, which provides energy to the gravel, sand, slurry dredge pump and the hydraulic system. A smaller auxiliary diesel engine is responsible for powering the high-pressure water pump. The maximum dredging depth for the jet suction dredger is 15 meters.
We offer suction dredgers in various sizes, ranging from 6 inches to 20 inches. The standard pump selection and system design are based on the WEIR production and pipeline analysis sheets, which utilize Warman Dredge pumps.
