Hydraulic winches

Winches have a significant role in dredging operations by supplying the necessary pulling force to facilitate the movement of dredging equipment and materials. Typically, heavy-duty electric or hydraulic winches are utilized for hosting in dredging, specifically designed to withstand the challenging operational conditions present in the marine environment. These winches are securely mounted on the dredging vessel and enable the control of the positioning and movement of crucial dredging equipment, such as the suction tube, cutter head, and spud poles. The proper maintenance and monitoring of winches are of utmost importance to ensure the safety and efficiency of dredging operations.

In dredging, side winches serve as devices to regulate the position and movement of a dredging vessel. These winches are affixed to the sides of the vessel and enable the adjustment of cable or wire length and tension, thereby controlling the positioning of the suction head or cutter head. This capability allows the dredge to excavate materials from specific locations and transfer them to other designated areas for disposal or further processing. Side winches constitute an indispensable component of various types of dredging vessels, including trailing suction hopper dredgers and cutter suction dredgers.

We offer a diverse range of standard winches, including side wire winches with a capacity of up to 120 kN, as well as hoisting winches that ensure efficient dredging. Additionally, our boom winches are readily available for swift delivery!
